Cookie Dough

  • 1/3 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 & 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Graham crackers, finely crushed (about 3.5 sheets)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 tsp Baking soda

Filling

  • 5 Standard Hershey bars
  • 1 & 1/2 cups Marshmallow fluff

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is well combined and smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing thoroughly to blend.
  3. Add Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the all-purpose flour, finely crushed graham crackers, salt, and baking soda to the wet mixture. Mix just until all the flour mixture is incorporated and no dry streaks remain; avoid overmixing.
  4. Form Cookie Layers: Press half of the cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking pan. Carefully remove the dough-lined parchment paper and place it in the freezer. Re-line the pan with fresh parchment and press the remaining dough evenly onto it.
  5. Assemble Bars: On the dough in the pan, place the Hershey bars evenly, breaking pieces as needed to cover the surface. Spread marshmallow fluff evenly over the chocolate bars. Gently remove the frozen cookie dough layer from the freezer and carefully flip it on top of the marshmallow layer, working slowly to keep the dough intact.
  6. Bake: Bake the assembled bars in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Once baked, allow the bars to cool completely before slicing to ensure clean, beautiful cross sections.
