Walla’s dessert lasagne is a rich and indulgent no-bake layered treat featuring the iconic Lotus Biscoff biscuits and creamy layers. This dessert combines the crunchy spice of Biscoff biscuits with whipped cream and smooth Biscoff spread to create a delightful pattern and texture in every bite, making it perfect for any special occasion or easy weekend treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Biscuits and Spread

  • 4 packets of Lotus Biscoff biscuits (approx. 280g total)
  • 1 jar of Lotus Biscoff spread (approx. 400g)

Cream Mixture

  • 1 carton of thickened cream (300ml)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Dash of vanilla extract (approximately 1 teaspoon)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cream mixture: Add the thickened cream, one tablespoon of sugar, and a dash of vanilla extract into a mixing bowl. Use a hand or stand mixer to whisk the ingredients until ‘soft peaks’ form, meaning the cream is thick but still slightly flexible and not overwhipped.
  2. Soften the Biscoff spread: Place the jar of Lotus Biscoff spread in the microwave and heat for about 30 seconds or until it is soft and easily spreadable but not runny.
  3. Assemble the base layer: Cover the base of a baking dish with a single layer of whole Lotus Biscoff biscuits. Arrange them close together to form an even foundation for your dessert.
  4. Layer with cream and spread: Spread a generous layer of the prepared cream mixture over the biscuits, followed by a drizzle of the melted Biscoff spread. Ensure even coverage to maintain balance between textures and flavors.
  5. Repeat layering: Repeat the biscuit, cream, and Biscoff spread layers two more times, totaling four biscuit layers and finishing with a top layer of cream mixture only.
  6. Create decorative topping: Scoop any remaining Biscoff spread into a piping bag and pipe thin lines across the surface of the final cream layer. Using a toothpick or skewer, drag lightly through the lines to form a triangular or zigzag pattern for an elegant finish.
  7. Add crushed biscuit garnish: Crush any leftover Biscoff biscuits into fine crumbs and sprinkle them around the edges of the dessert to add texture and visual appeal.
  8. Chill before serving: Refrigerate the assembled dessert for at least 2 hours or until set, allowing the flavors to meld and the biscuits to soften slightly for the perfect dessert lasagne texture.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh thickened cream with at least 35% fat content to achieve soft peaks.
  • The dessert is best served chilled and can be made a few hours ahead or the day before serving.
  • Adjust the sugar amount in the cream to taste, especially if your Biscoff spread is already quite sweet.
  • Use a clear or glass baking dish to showcase the beautiful layers.
  • This dessert is vegetarian friendly but contains dairy, so it is not suitable for vegan or lactose-intolerant individuals.
  • Leftover dessert can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
