  • 1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon milk room temperature

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar either light or dark
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup pecans chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • Optional: Vanilla ice cream heavy cream, or whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 2-quart casserole dish lightly.
  2. Prepare the Pumpkin Layer: Sift and combine flours, baking powder, salt, sugar, and spices. In a separate bowl, mix pumpkin, milk, butter, and vanilla. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then spread batter in the dish.
