Chicken:

  • 4 chicken breasts, boneless skinless

Breadcrumb Mixture:

  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Cheese Topping:

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Egg Wash:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F: Mix breadcrumbs, half the Parmesan, seasonings in one dish.
  2. Prepare the egg wash: Beat eggs and milk in another dish.
  3. Coat the chicken: Dredge chicken in flour, then egg mixture, then breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Cook the chicken: Cook chicken in olive oil 3-4 minutes per side until golden. Transfer to baking dish.
  5. Top with cheese: Mix remaining Parmesan with mozzarella and garlic. Top chicken and bake 20-25 minutes until cooked through.

Notes
