Cake Batter:
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (240ml) milk
Apple Filling:
- 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1/4 cup (50g) packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare the apples: In a bowl, combine sliced apples with brown sugar, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and nutmeg. Set aside.
- Make the batter: Cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture.
