  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon seasoned salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • ⅔ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ⅔ cup shredded Pepper Jack cheese

Bisquick Batter:

  • ¾ cup Bisquick baking mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray a 9-inch pie pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Cook the Meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and chopped bacon. Add the onion when halfway browned. Cook until beef is browned, bacon is crispy, and onion is softened.
  3. Add Garlic and Season: Reduce heat, add garlic, cook for 1 minute, then drain excess grease. Stir in seasoned salt, black pepper, and ketchup. Let cool.
  4. Add Cheese and Assemble: Mix in cheddar and Pepper Jack. Spoon mixture into pie pan.
  5. Prepare the Bisquick Batter: Whisk Bisquick mix, milk, and eggs in a bowl until smooth. Pour over beef mixture.
  6. Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
