Golden Milk Base

  • 1 cup Organic Valley® Original Oat Beverage
  • 2 teaspoons Organic Valley® Ghee
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground ginger
  • Pinch ground black pepper

Additional Flavors

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Espresso and Sweetener

  • 2 ounces espresso
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Golden Milk Base: In a medium saucepan, combine the Organic Valley® Original Oat Beverage, Organic Valley® Ghee, ground cinnamon, ground turmeric, ground ginger, and a pinch of ground black pepper. Heat this mixture over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the liquid is steaming but not boiling.
  2. Add Vanilla and Froth: Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. If desired, froth the golden milk using a milk frother to create a creamy texture. Set this aside while you prepare the espresso.
  3. Make Espresso and Combine: Brew 2 ounces of espresso directly into a white serving mug. Stir in the honey until fully dissolved. Pour the frothed golden milk over the sweetened espresso, then serve immediately for a comforting and flavorful golden latte.

Notes

  • Do not allow the golden milk base to boil to preserve its delicate flavors and prevent scalding.
