  • ⅓ cup (80mL) vegetable oil
  • ¾ cup (180mL) whole milk, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 cup (240g) full-fat sour cream, room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • ¾ cup (120g) rainbow jimmies sprinkles

Vanilla Buttercream Frosting:

  • 1 ½ cups (340g) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 6 cups (780g) powdered sugar, sifted
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 46 tablespoons whole milk

Instructions

  1. Make the cake: Preheat the oven. Prepare cake pans. Mix dry ingredients. Combine wet ingredients. Mix batter. Fold in sprinkles. Bake and cool.
