Cucumbers
- 1 lb cucumbers (4–5 medium-sized)
Flavorings
- 1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
- 2 heaping tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon sunflower oil or olive oil (add more if needed)
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Step 1: Prep the Cucumbers – Wash the cucumbers thoroughly. Cut each cucumber in half lengthwise. Slice each half into 3–4 long strips, then cut the strips into smaller pieces. Place the sliced cucumbers into a large mixing bowl.
- Step 2: Add Flavor – Finely chop the fresh dill and press or mince the garlic. Add both to the bowl of cucumbers. Drizzle the oil and vinegar over the mixture.
- Step 3: Season and Combine – Sprinkle in a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Toss all the ingredients together until the cucumbers are evenly coated.
- Step 4: Serve or Refrigerate – Serve immediately for the freshest flavor. If refrigerating, hold off on adding salt and pepper until serving time to prevent the cucumbers from releasing too much liquid.
