  • 200 g (7 oz) smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
  • 1 medium cabbage (about 400g), thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion (about 150g), sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 medium bell pepper (optional), sliced
  • 1 medium carrot (optional), julienned

For the Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp honey or low-carb sweetener (optional)
  • Pinch of chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preparation: Slice the sausage into rounds or strips. Thinly slice the cabbage, onion, and any optional veggies. Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, and sweeteners/spices in a bowl.
  2. Cooking:
    • Brown the sausage in a skillet until golden and crispy. Set aside.
    • Sauté garlic and onion in the same pan until fragrant.
    • Add cabbage and cook until slightly softened.
    • Return sausage to the skillet, pour in the sauce, and cook for a few minutes.
  3. Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds or herbs and serve hot.
