  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest

  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk or lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla: Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Mix yogurt and lemon juice: In a small bowl, whisk together yogurt or sour cream and lemon juice.
