Salmon
- 4 salmon fillets (5–6 ounces each)
Boursin Cheese Mixture
- 1 round of Boursin cheese (5.2 oz), garlic & fine herbs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter, divided
Seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the salmon.
- Prepare Baking Dish: Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Make Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, combine Boursin cheese, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and half of the olive oil until smooth and creamy.
- Season Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel, then drizzle with the remaining olive oil. Season both sides with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Assemble: Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the prepared baking dish, if the skin is intact. Spread the Boursin cheese mixture evenly over the top of each fillet.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) and is cooked through.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Check salmon doneness with a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
- If you prefer, melted butter can be used instead of olive oil for a richer flavor.
- The skin can be removed before baking if not desired.
- Serve with steamed vegetables or a light salad for a complete meal.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
