Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (56 ounces each)

Boursin Cheese Mixture

  • 1 round of Boursin cheese (5.2 oz), garlic & fine herbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter, divided
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Seasoning & Garnish

  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature for baking the salmon evenly.
  2. Prepare Baking Dish: Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper to prevent the salmon from sticking during baking.
  3. Make Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, combine the Boursin cheese, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and half of the olive oil. Mix thoroughly until it forms a smooth and creamy spread.
  4. Prepare Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the fillets and season all sides with salt and black pepper according to your taste.
  5. Assemble Fillets: Place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if they have skin) in the prepared baking dish. Evenly spread the Boursin cheese mixture over the top of each fillet, covering them completely.
  6. Bake Salmon: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). The cheese will be slightly golden and bubbly.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven, garnish with freshly chopped parsley, and serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh, high-quality salmon fillets.
  • You can substitute olive oil with melted butter for a richer flavor.
  • Make sure not to overbake the salmon to keep it moist and tender.
  • Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
